Mid Autumn Festival 2010 @Clarke Quay 10sep'10

The Mid-Autumn Festival by the River 2010, part of the Chinese Cultural Festival, will be held at the River Promenade beside The Central in Clarke Quay. Featuring elaborately crafted lanterns depicting mythical creatures and legendary characters, and a host of cultural activities, Mid-Autumn Festival by the River 2010 offers a unique visual and cultural experience of celebrating Mid-Autumn Festival in Singapore.
In addition to spectacular lantern displays, there will be numerous cultural activities such as song and dance performances by overseas and local performing troupes;  festival traditions of lantern riddles, mass lantern processions and mooncakes;  a showcase of delicious Taiwan Delicacies, presented in association with Taiwan Visitors Association and Taipei Representative Office in Singapore; as well as family and community bonding activities such as a giant Chinese Chess competition, a photography competition, educational Chinese games and quizzes, sing-a-long session, and a mass line dance. Details:     2 set pieces on Coleman Bridge and Read Bridge, 5 set pieces in the River, 12 Chinese Horoscope on land along the River)
   
Food Stalls of Taiwan Delicacies

Venue:    River Promenade (Outside Merchant Court Hotel)
Details:     Chefs flown in from Taiwan by Taiwan Tourist Association and Taipei Representative Office in Singapore, supported by Sakae Holdings of Singapore
